Tartan Headcovers
Known to come from Scotland, tartan’s are used to represent a connected community and their respective identity. Using post-industrial revolution techniques, familial tartans were designated, designed, and woven using natural vegetable dyes causing the colors to be more muted than they are today. Eventually, tartans were used to represent different uses. One tartan such as the Mackenzie could be interpreted for hunting uses in more natural tones, or to dress up with brighter tones. With Scotland being the birthplace of golf, we strive to source the finest wool from the border countries of Scotland where the River Tweed once was the home to many of the country’s water-powered weaving mills.
