Megan + Akbar, co-founders of SEAMUS GOLF first started conversations with Jeanne Carver, Co-owner of Imperial Stock Ranch earlier this year about a special collaboration. The goal of using locally sourced wool on their ranch that is custom spun, died, and woven to the exacting specifications of our gorgeous club covers and accessories where SEAMUS GOLF could be involved from beginning to end had only been a dream. The gorgeous wool yielded from Imperial has gone into a number of high end fashion-forward products, and most recently seen intheir collaboration with Ralph Lauren for the knitwear at the recent winter Olympics.
SEAMUS GOLF uses the premium grade wool and woven products of Northern Scotland and the Outer Hebrides. In making the connection deeper to the holy home land of golf, our team at SEAMUS GOLF wanted to show that parts of Oregon weren't just ideal for growing oceanside fescue grass, but also cultivating high grade wool. Since the 1800's, it was learned early in our State's history that the combined effect of the climate and soil type were a perfect mix to not only grow great grass (small fact: Oregon is the grass seed capital of the world), but also raise sheep.
Our custom woven and highly limited run cloth that speaks to the SEAMUS brand and golfing tradition launches soon. Inspired by our namesake, Seamus the Irish Terrier, our iconic tweed is something to wait for.
