The reaction, while entirely spontaneous, might not have happened except for being in the makeshift gym all week at Royal Birkdale.
"I had been watching replays of the Open in the gym," He said. "There was a TV in there, and they were playing old Opens. For whatever reason, it intrigued me earlier in the week that the guys, when they made putts, they never went and picked their ball out of the hole. The caddie went and got it on long putts. And I guess that stuck in my head: 'You don't have to pick the ball out of the hole. Michael can go get it.'"

Each Hand Forged® "Go Get That" Ball Mark is made using steel in Portland, Oregon, USA by a second generation blacksmith who learned the trade in his father’s shop. Designed by SEAMUS GOLF and inspired by a vintage niblick, the metal ball mark carries forward the same aesthetic of the hickory shafted antiques gamed by Tom Morris and the like.
Each coin is heated to approximately 2200 degrees in a white-hot fire, the red hot metal is then shaped on an anvil like soft clay, using only the most ancient tools of the craft: hammers, chisels, punches, and the the hand of the blacksmith. Each ball mark is then sanded, buffed, and tumbled on an individual basis, and the results are a completely different and unique ball mark for each golfer. Choose to add your own custom stamp (8 characters max) at no charge for an even more personal ball mark.

Personalization
Head Covers & Towels
The majority of our head covers and towels allow the option to add a customized leather label sewn onto it. We use a vegetable-tanned leather sourced from Oregon Leather Company and can inscribe virtually any single color text or logo (that you own the rights to) onto the leather. Most golfers get their initials, name, or favorite word/saying. The artwork is burned into the leather in a process that is similar to the branding process.
