The Portland Trail Blazers have always been a team with a tremendous following as the only professional sports team in Oregon for so many years. When the Blazers began their franchise in the early 1970's, a now iconic announcer in Blazer lore, Bill Schonely, blurted out the phrase RIP CITY when Jim Barnett cut loose an ill-advised three. Ever since that day Rip City has become just as much a part of the Blazers as the pinwheel logo.
We might be biased, but the NBA City Edition Rip City jersey is one of the best in the NBA. With a northwest facing sash and gray/black colorings to represent our seemingly endless dark and rainy skies, the NBA nailed it with this one. Ill-advised threes are always fun, but as the great Bill Schonely would always say, you've gotta make your free throws.
Our NBA City Edition jersey head covers are carefully designed and crafted here in our workshop in Beaverton, OR. Each cover is designed to show off the best attributes of each jersey. You'll notice top notch stitching, the official Swingman label and our in-house Seamus basketball leather tag.
Each cover includes a custom basketball inspired packaging with a net and basketball leather accents. Each cover is a one of one driver cover, limited release only.
